Simple Cheese Fondue

Cheese fondue is a fun and loving treat to prepare for your loved ones on Valentine’s Day.
Here is how to make it on the stove top without needing a fondue pot.

Simple Cheese Fondue

SERVINGS

Serves: 1 – 1/2 cup fondue

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheese, try to use 2 types
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons white wine or beer
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, optional OR 1 clove fresh garlic, chopped

PREPARATION

  1. In a medium pot, bring the chicken broth to a low boil.
  2. Add the cheese slowly in handfuls. Stir constantly.
  3. When the cheese is melted add the optional garlic.
  4. Slowly add the wine/beer(optional) and corn starch.
  5. Stirring constantly, bring to a low boil for 2 minutes or until the cheese sauce is thickened.
  6. Serve with pieces of bread and sliced apple, and cooked meat or fish.
