Plant-Based Spaghetti and Meatballs
An easy meatless recipe for spaghetti and meatballs made quickly with plant-based meatballs and ready-made-sauce pasta sauce.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper or 2 celery stalks, chopped (optional)
- 1 can or jar (around 600-700 mL) of ready-made pasta sauce
- 1 teaspoon basil or oregano (optional)
- 1 box (around 375 grams) spaghetti noodles, preferably whole wheat
- 1 bag (around 400 grams) meatless meatballs
PREPARATION
- Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the directions on the package.
- In a medium sized pot, fry the first three ingredients until the onion is soft. Add the tomato sauce and the dried herbs.
- Add the meatballs. Lower the tomato sauce to a low boil and cover. Cook for about 10 minutes.
- In the large pot, toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce or place a serving of plain pasta on each plate topped with sauce.
